Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our livestock, shipping, and store policies.
Ordering & Shipping
How do you ship live fish and plants?
We take the utmost care in packaging our livestock. Fish and delicate plants are shipped in insulated boxes with breather bags or double-bagged with pure oxygen. Depending on the season, we include heat packs or cold packs at no extra charge to maintain stable temperatures during transit.
What days do you ship livestock?
To prevent live orders from getting stuck in a warehouse over the weekend, we only ship livestock and live plants on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Dry goods and equipment are shipped Monday through Friday.
Can I combine multiple orders?
If your first order has not shipped yet, please contact us immediately with both order numbers. We will do our best to combine them and refund any excess shipping charges.
Livestock & Live Arrival Guarantee
What is your Live Arrival Guarantee?
DAS Aquarium offers a 100% Live Arrival Guarantee on all fish, shrimp, and plants. If your livestock arrives deceased, we will issue a store credit or refund for the cost of the livestock. Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable.
What should I do if an animal arrives dead (DOA)?
Take 2-3 clear photographs of the deceased animal still inside its UNOPENED shipping bag. Email these photos to our support team within 2 hours of the delivery timestamp. Claims made after the bag is opened or after 2 hours will not be accepted.
My new fish lost its color. Is it sick?
It is completely normal for fish and shrimp to look pale or stressed immediately after shipping. Turn off your aquarium lights, follow our acclimation guide carefully, and give them 24-48 hours to settle in and regain their vibrant colors.
Equipment & Aquariums
Do rimless tanks come with a warranty?
Yes, all of our glass aquariums come with a standard manufacturer's warranty against leakage and structural defects. This warranty is voided if the tank is not placed on a proper leveling mat or if it is placed on an unlevel, non-aquarium-safe stand.
What happens if my glass tank arrives shattered?
We heavily pad and crate our aquariums for safe transit. However, accidents happen. If your tank arrives broken, refuse the delivery if possible, or take immediate photos of the damaged box and glass, and contact us within 24 hours so we can dispatch a replacement.
