Green Nuphar is an attractive aquatic plant characterized by broad green leaves that emerge from a strong, well-developed root system. Its substantial foliage creates a lush and natural appearance, making it particularly suitable as a focal or feature plant in medium to large freshwater aquariums. This plant benefits from a nutrient-rich substrate because much of its nutrition is absorbed through the roots. Regular root fertilization can encourage healthy leaf development and vigorous growth. Under suitable conditions, Green Nuphar can produce increasingly large leaves, so adequate space and occasional pruning are recommended to prevent excessive shading of surrounding plants.
